A Fresh Chapter for Our Dining Room
We’re excited to share that our dining room renovation is officially complete. Over the past few weeks, we’ve thoughtfully refreshed the space with new flooring, updated lighting, new tables, a fresh coat of paint, and a new door that brings in more light and creates an easier flow to the outdoor space. Behind the scenes, our back offices have also been redesigned to better support our team day to day.The result is a space that feels brighter, more open, and intentionally designed for comfort and connection.
From the beginning, this has always been a place rooted in community—a space where people gather, celebrate, and spend time together over food and drink. That spirit remains at the heart of everything we do. This renovation is simply an extension of that vision, and we look forward to continuing to welcome everyone into a space that feels both familiar and renewed.
Current Needs
As part of our ongoing work, we’re always grateful for support from our community—especially in the form of everyday items that help us create a comfortable and engaging environment for our residents. Donations do not need to be brand new; gently used items in good condition are always appreciated.
At the moment, we are in need of bath towels and magazines for art therapy. These simple contributions go a long way in supporting daily life and creative expression within our program. If you have items you’re no longer using, we would be grateful to put them to good use.
Oscar’s Sunday Tea Dance for a Cause
We’re excited to be part of something truly special this month. On Sunday, April 26th, join us at Oscar’s Palm Springs for a vibrant Tea Dance Fundraiser in support of Van Ness Recovery House. It’s an afternoon of music, movement, and community—set in one of Palm Springs’ most iconic venues.
The party kicks off at 3PM and carries through the afternoon, bringing people together for a great cause. Proceeds will go directly toward helping us continue to provide free recovery services to the LGBTQIA+ community—a mission we’ve proudly carried forward for over 50 years. Come ready to dance, connect, and celebrate while making a meaningful impact—we’d love to see you there.
